Note-Worthy: Esxence 2025 👀💫
Milan once again became the epicentre of olfactory creativity. These were the discoveries that left a lasting impression:

Tobba: Jasper Li’s Summer Hits. Jasper Li’s upcoming Higher Self and Lovers and Strangers are poised to be bestsellers.
Prin Lomros: Southeast Asia’s Star. Three lines — Prin (animalic), Prissana (Asian narratives) and Strangers (wearable yet complex). Guido from Strangers stole the show.
Aholic: Addictive Newcomer. Launching in April, exploring addiction-inspired themes. Love Dopamine stood out, at €150/100ml — almost nothing exists about this brand online yet.

Les Indemodables: Craftsmanship at its Peak. Vanille Havane is a solid 10/10 — and the brand processes all its natural ingredients in-house.
Brezza Leggera: Filippo Sorcinelli’s Heavyweight. Immortelle, pine, myrrh and labdanum in extrait — anything but light.
Extra Virgo: Coffee at its Most Intense. Michele Marin’s Animal Café delivers explosive coffee from three continents, cinnamon, civet and real oud.
Mark Buxton’s Freedom Collection. We smelled Free by David Chieze, protégé of Mark Buxton, and met Géraldine Ignesta, the third part of this creative trio.
Strictly Independent 🎨 🌟 — Nōse Perfume
We met Timur, co-founder of Nōse Perfume (with Daria), at Esxence — and smelled things we’d never encountered before. Avant-garde, independent, small-batch, crafted with rare natural ingredients and a deep commitment to smallholder farmers. Based in Slovakia, Nōse is one to watch.
Day Off — The Effervescent Escape. A modern chypre: creamy-green tuberose absolute meets crisp black pepper, olibanum and Virginian cedar, over oak moss, sandalwood and ambergris. Perfumer: Timur Solodov.
Have a Nice Day — The Queen Reimagined. Moroccan and Indian rose absolutes with pink grapefruit, saffron and myrrh, deepened by vetiver, patchouli and tobacco — regal and rebellious. Perfumer: Timur Solodov.
Lumberman — The Wild Frontier. French absinthe and British cannabis cut through smoky black tea and frankincense; Cambodian oud and tobacco smoulder with castoreum and leather. Perfumer: Timur Solodov.
Meadow Tea — The Quiet Reverie. Chinese green tea absolute and honeyed linden blossom, poplar buds, Spanish labdanum and cistus, with incense and vanilla. Perfumer: Timur Solodov.
